Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an 8-week program, in which participants learn about mindfulness practices to increase self-awareness, self-regulation, and compassion, as well as tools to cope more effectively with short- and long-term stressors. Graduates of the course report improved focus, a greater sense of connection with self and others, decreased stress, increased joy and the capacity to recover more quickly from challenging events.


Dates:
Orientation -- Wed., Sept. 19 - 6:15-8 p.m. [required]
Classes -- Wednesdays, Sept. 26-Nov. 14 - 6:15-8:30 p.m.
All day retreat -- Nov. 3 - 9 a.m.-4 p.m. 

Cost: $35 to cover costs; unused funds will be donated to the church.
