June 2008
This is the June newsletter, and therefore the one in which I must say good-bye. My years here have been good, filled with much laughter and some tears, much growth and some stumbles, caring and some bruised feelings, and always, love.
Good-bye is thought by many to be a contraction of “God be with you.” May the God of your understanding be with you always, a source of strength and courage and hope.
Another theory is that Good-bye comes from earlier forms that mean “fare well” or “travel well.” May you travel well and safely as you move through all that is to come.
A third thought about the origin of Good-bye is that it comes from sources meaning “to kindness”, to “hospitality.” May you be met with kindness and hospitality, where ever the journey that is your life takes you.
Good-bye my friends, I will miss you so. Thank you.
Love,
