Worship Services
From September to June, Sunday services begin at 10:45 am and conclude about noon. Services are followed by refreshments and conversation in Fellowship Hall.
During the summer, services begin at 10:00 am and are led by lay members of the congregation.
Childcare is available for all services.
Our worship topics cover a wide range of interests, drawing from many different schools of religious and social thought. Some recent sermon titles include:
- Human Genome Project
- Affirming Life in a Death Denying Culture
- Living Lovingly Amid Fear
- The Locus of Authority in Buddhism
- Letting Bygones be Bygones
- Religion and Suicide
- A Pagan Perspective on the Seventh UU Principle
- The World of Fr. Marot: The Blessing Way
- The Shema: What Does it Mean?
- To Risk Appearing the Fools
- Drumbeat for Darfur
- Celebrating Earth Day
The first Sunday of each month usually includes a "First Sunday Speaker," a member of the church who shares his or her spiritual story.
The last Sunday of each month is Family Sunday. There are no religious education classes ("Sunday School") on Family Sunday, and all children are welcomed to attend services with their parents.
