Associate Minister

lyn@concorduu.org

Lyn found her call to ministry here in this congregation, where she has been a member since April 2000. She did a two-year internship here during her seminary training at Meadville Lombard Theological School and received her Master of Divinity in 2014. She spent a year as a full time intern minister at the Allen Avenue Unitarian Universalist Church in Portland, ME before returning to this church as a ministry assistant in 2015.  Lyn was ordained by this congregation in a joyful ceremony in May 2016.

Lyn now serves as our Associate Minister. She provides opportunities for people to learn from one another through relationships across generations, including support and leadership for Second Hour learning, service, & practice workshops for children and adults. You will see her in the pulpit some Sundays, and she works with Michael and our pastoral care associates to provide pastoral care for our congregants.

Prior to entering ministry, Lyn was an early childhood educator, teaching children from preschool through elementary school in both regular and special education. She received an MS in Teaching Young Children from Wheelock College in 1986 and a BA from Williams College in 1984.

Lyn served in leadership for the Northern New England Chapter of the Unitarian Universalist Ministers Association for six years.

Lyn lives in the South End of Concord with her two dogs and four cats. She enjoys gardening more than lawn care, and is working to transform her lawn into garden and meadow. She discovered the joy of fostering kittens during the pandemic, and has helped twelve kittens and two mama cats find forever homes.

Lyn has two adult sons who live in Providence, RI and Madison, WI.
