Family Promise of Greater Concord
Did you know?
- Our church, along with congregant volunteers, is committed to supporting agencies/groups that align with our mission and principles and thus partners with Family Promise of Greater Concord by using our church space as emergency shelter for up to three families.
- Family Promise of Greater Concord provides prevention, shelter and stabilization for families in our community and our church is one of 13 interfaith congregations that provides emergency shelter.
- A mother with young children who was housed at our church in 2023 wrote: “The time I spent at Family Promise was an emotional roller coaster, but these kind hearted people helped me through every step of the way. My kids and I are able to heal from the terrible situation that led us there and we are able to see a bright future now. For Family Promise and the people who are part of it, I am forever grateful.”
- There are 41 volunteer slots to fill each week a church hosts and our NEXT TWO HOST WEEKS (of four we commit to each year) are March 24-31 and April 28-May 5.
- This year in America, 2.5 million children will experience homelessness.
