Music

Choir
The choir sings about three Sundays per month during the regular church year (September through early June) and for special occasion such as Christmas Eve and Memorial Services. We have a roster of about 70 singers with an average of about 35-40 members singing on Sunday mornings. Music ranges from Renaissance to contemporary, classical to gospel, local to international.
Choir practice is on Thursday evenings from 7 to 8:30 pm and there is a warm-up rehearsal on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am on Sundays when the choir sings.
All are welcome to join and share in our musical journey regardless of ability, choral experience level, or time availability. If you’d like to learn more, contact our choir director, Rev. Michael Leuchtenberger, or simply show up for a rehearsal to give choir a try. Here is what you can expect when you come to your First Rehearsal.
We are a friendly lot and have fun with the music and each other, including monthly choir socials, a Saturday springboard rehearsal in early fall, and a choir appreciation lunch in the spring.

Taizé Services
Taizé services are held at 7:00 pm on the First Sunday of each month, October through April. These services offer a time for meditation, reflection, and renewal through music, brief words, and silence. [more]

Drum Circle
Our drum circle meets on the Third Sunday of each month at 2 pm, September through June. All are welcome, regardless of experience. Bring your own drum or use one of the church’s drums or other percussion instruments.
Occasionally attendees of the drum circle are invited to participate in a Sunday morning service but mostly the group meets for its own enjoyment and spiritual nourishment. To be added to our drum circle mailing list or for additional information, contact Rev. Michael Leuchtenberger.
