Our Memorial Gift Fund (MGF) receives monetary donations in memory of a deceased church member or friend. The funds are used to purchase non-budgeted items according to the following guidelines:

• Practical/Beautiful
• Tangible (concrete, discrete)
• Outside of the Operating Budget
• Contextual/Timeless
• Fitting with our spiritual values
• Cannot be tacky.

Obviously, these guidelines allow room for discussion based on the merits of any individual project submitted for consideration.

Donations in memory of a deceased church member or friend are made by cash or check payable to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Concord.

Any church leader may request a disbursement from the MGF for an item that fits the established guidelines. The request is made to the Director of Membership and Administration and Senior Minister. If funds are available in the MGF to grant the request, the request will be added to the agenda of the next regularly scheduled Operations Leadership Team (OLT) meeting. The members of the OLT will decide whether to grant the request, by a simple majority vote.
