Fire and Ice: an Imbolc Family Formal
Join us in a magical evening celebrating the midpoint of winter at our family formal fundraiser! Imbolc, a time of cold and darkness, calls for us to find warmth in the heart of our community. Imbolc reminds us that even in the darkest of times, the flame of hope burns on. The ECSG and Concord UU invite you to break through the icy starkness of winter and kindle the flames of togetherness in a night of connection, community, and celebration.
Our family-friendly event is a multigenerational gathering to honor the changing of the seasons through ritual, camaraderie, and festive fun. Feel fancy in your best formal attire, indulge in an array of delicious appetizers and treats (Note: No sit-down meal will be provided), and dance the night away! By attending this event, you’re not only celebrating Imbolc, but also supporting us in our mission to bring connection, inspiration, and warmth in service to our community.
$20 for adults, minors are free – 150 people maximum

We are an eclectic group that honors divinity in many forms. We value spiritual enrichment in attuning to the earth and the natural world.
The purpose of the group is to provide an opportunity for worship, networking, education and socialization for individuals who follow or have an interest in pagan, neo-pagan, polytheistic, earth-centered or nature-based religions.
We have found this article about the four centers of paganism to be very helpful in understanding what it means to be an eclectic group. We have members who fit into all of these categories – some with overlap into other categories, and some not. Our rituals are varied and reflect different aspects of these four centers – but not all at the same time!
All of the events listed on this page are free and open to the public. You do not have to be a member of the group or of the church to attend. All our events are family-friendly unless we note otherwise. Minors may attend with a parent or guardian. Some of our officiants bring their own kids to several rituals. If you have a question about bringing a child with you, please ask.
Unless otherwise noted, all ritual events are at 7:00 pm, at the church. In fair weather we will be in the grove behind the church. In snowy or inclement weather, inside the church. To reach the grove, drive to the end of the parking lot and walk up the short path to the left.
Each ritual is followed by a social gathering. You are invited to bring a snack or drink to share if you wish.
