Green burial offers a path rooted in simplicity, sustainability, and reverence. It invites us to return to the earth in a way that nourishes it—rejecting toxic embalming, concrete vaults, and resource-intensive practices in favor of natural decomposition and conservation.
Lee Webster is an internationally known educator, author, and advocate for funeral reform, home funerals, and green burials. ·Author of several books and guides on home funerals and green burial, Lee is the also director of NH and VT Funeral Resources & Education. She has been instrumental in promoting green burial options in New Hampshire as well as nationally and internationally.
Lee’s work is both visionary and grounded—making green burial accessible, affordable, and spiritually resonant. We are very fortunate to have this opportunity to explore this topic with her.
