On Brokenness and Grace

Brokenness and trauma are everywhere, on scales both very large and very intimate, and while wounds left untended can allow in what is undesirable, they are also, as Rumi said, the place where the Light enters you. Although we tend to resist and resent that which is fractured, the act of mending allows us to tap into our deepest and most profound gifts, allowing us to create something new and meaningful.
