Spirit Week: April 12 – April 19, 2026

Spirit Week is an invitation to make intentional space for reflection on what matters most, on what brings us alive, on the energy that animates us and connects us to the universe in all its mystery. Spirit Week encourages us to “take a breath” as we go about our personal and congregational routines, adding a layer of awareness and consciousness to whatever it is we are doing. Spirit Week invites us to open our hearts and minds to holy inspiration. Spirit Week offers a multitude of practices for a peaceful grounding of our bodies and souls, a time to linger on the spiritual and moral values central to the love in our hearts.
Spirit Week (from Sunday, April 12 to Sunday, April 19) is an invitation for you to explore your spirit, by participating in offerings at the church or at home.
Here is our Spirit Week calendar of events and activities. Please join as you are able – and bring a friend or two:
Daily offering: Morning Sit (7-7:30 a.m. on Zoom) (Lead: Craig Whitson)
Sunday, April 12 – Nature walk with a focus on honoring of trees through a mindfulness exercise and land art activity. 11:45-12:30 p.m. (Lead: Sue Posluszny).
Monday, April 13 – Monday Mindfulness Group meeting (6-7 pm) followed by Yoga Nidra Session (7:15-8:15 pm) (Lead: Craig Whitson)
Tuesday, April 14 –
- Meditation in the Sanctuary (Noon-12:30 p.m.) (Lead: Rev. Michael Leuchtenberger)
- Welcome Table (6-7 p.m.) (Lead: Rev. Michael Leuchtenberger)
- Coffee House (7-9 p.m.) (Leads: Craig Whitson and Heidi Page)
Wednesday, April 15 –
- Meditation in the Sanctuary (Noon-12:30 p.m.) (Lead: Margaret Fletcher)
- Singing Bowls Sound Bath (5-6 p.m.) (Lead: Sharon Arey)
Thursday, April 16 –

Friday, April 17 – No daily activity
Saturday, April 18 – All day retreat (9 a.m.-4 p.m.) in the Sanctuary and on Zoom with John Bell (Retreat Manager: Margaret Fletcher)
Sunday, April 19 – Nature walk to include some mindful walking and chanting “now I walk in beauty” (11:45-12:30 p.m.) (Lead: Betsy Black)
