After the service there will be a forum to discuss in more detail the issues raised by the sermon. All are encouraged to participate.
This Sunday’s Community Plate is being taken for Ascentria Care Alliance (formerly Lutheran Social Services of New England), one of the largest community service organizations in New England. Here in Concord, their Community Services for New Americans help to resettle and assist refugees, including unaccompanied minors, mainly in Concord and Nashua. Through this work, the organization seeks to strengthen communities, and provide help, healing and hope to those building a new life in a new land. Due to funding cuts, the local resettlement staff has been significantly reduced in the past year.
