In Harmony with the Earth

What does it mean to live in harmony with our precious Mother Earth? To bring our faith into action, we’re called to serve the most precious moral owner of this church: Mother Earth herself. One way our congregation does this is to align with the Unitarian Universalist Association’s Green Sanctuary movement. Under the guidance of this denominational initiative, the greater UU faith community is “called to engage in an ambitious environmental and climate justice movement that seeks to live fully our principles and achieve our vision of a sustainable and just world for all.”

What inspires you, what moves you to caretake the globe’s human and more-than-human relatives at this time of climate crisis? Members of the Green Sanctuary working groups will share their stories and invite you to consider this church as a home for climate justice and active love for our one home planet. This Sunday Service will be followed by a Green Sanctuary member fair in Fellowship Hall, where you can meet Green Sanctuary team members and tell us your vision for green faith in action at our church.
