Heather Maconaghy
Accompanist

Heather’s earliest musical memories began in churches, forecasting what has become a lifelong passion of serving faith communities through music.
Born in Toronto and raised in Southern California, Heather graduated with a B.A. in Piano Performance from the California State University, Northridge, and finally landed in Southern New Hampshire in 2000. She plays for services and supports the choir at Temple Beth Jacob in Concord, and was thrilled to join the Concord UU community supporting the choir and offering music in 2025. Heather also has served as Music Director for community theatre productions in Southern New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
“Opposite” of the musical pursuits is Heather’s work as an insurance administrator, a process wonk, for the company which provides benefits to New England Teamsters.
Heather lives in Manchester, NH, with her husband Larry. When not working at one thing or another, Heather enjoys baking, crochet, and a good puzzle: particularly (cheating at) the New York Times crossword, or making a mess of the dining room with a jigsaw puzzle.
