Communities of Trust

Trust is core to social capital, the foundation of cooperation, networks, norms, and belonging.  Social capital anchors relationships and helps communities function by fostering a sense of shared purpose, mutual support, and accountability.  There is trust within groups, trust between groups, and trust in institutions and leaders.  Trust is the glue that holds it all together.  What does it take to trust (more)?  How do we recognize and create communities of trust?  As the choir will sing:  When there’s trust in the room, we can dream.

  1. I love making a connection between ability to TRUST IS STRINGLY LINKED to being a dreamer!! It is a wonderful relationship that I found in young folks who worked in the sheep farm. The most creative and imaginative OFTEN had more stable families with a higher level of trust.
