The first seminary class I took was “The Theology and Meaning of Call.” It sounded like a good place to start answering the call to ministry that had gone from a gentle tug to a clear knowing. It was congregants in our congregation who first told me I should be a minister, and mostly in our congregation that I have learned so much about good ministry, strong community, and staying faithful in the face of change, loss, and grief. In my final service as one of your ministers, I’ll share some of the lessons from this place that I will carry with me as my call beckons me on.
