Resisting the Good News

The negativity bias is a cognitive bias that results in adverse events having a more significant impact on our psychological state than positive events. There’s a reason so many of us love A.A. Milne’s Eeyore, the donkey who expects things to go badly. As spring gets underway and Christians are celebrating the triumph of life over death in the resurrection of Jesus, are we resisting the good news in our lives and in the world?
