Touch can be a most important source of healing and joy, for children and adults alike. Many of us long for more touch – from the right person, in the right way, at the right time. Touch can also be a devastating source of pain, fear, and abuse. How do we tap into the healing, joyful power of physical touch while being clear and respectful about the boundaries needed to avoid harm and injury. This feels particularly relevant in my role as a minister and yet I often remain uncertain about what’s most valuable in a given situation. I look forward to your thoughts and experiences as we engage in dialog after the service.
