Truth & Consequences

History is the narrative that allows us to make sense of the past, that throws a shadow on the now, and that restrains our imagination going forward.  History matters because it frames our perception of the truth.  And our understanding of truth depends on who writes our history – with great consequences for those featured in the center and those ignored or relegated to the margins.  Home Nguyen, managing partner at the MindKind Institute, returns to us to reflect on the historical truths and perspectives that have shaped his life as a refugee from Vietnam, as a person of color in this day and age, and as a coach and teacher of leaders, entrepreneurs, and educators.

Our First Sunday drop-in covenant group will focus on our monthly theme of “Holding History.”  All are invited to participate.  Revs. Lyn Marshall & Michael Leuchtenberger will facilitate on Zoom and in person.
