Welcome Home, Here, Now – A Water Communion Service

As we re-gather in our beautiful sanctuary for our annual water communion service may we all experience a sense of coming home, finding a home, being at home – within ourselves, in the spirit of our community, and through the shared yearning for a peaceful home for all.  As the poet Wendell Berry writes: “And the world cannot be discovered by a journey of miles, no matter how long, but only by a spiritual journey, a journey of one inch, very arduous and humbling and joyful, by which we arrive at the ground at our own feet, and learn to be at home.”

Our water communion ritual honors the varied stories that join us together – again and again, or for the first time.  Share your story of Friendship & Community, of Spiritual Growth & Learning, of Sorrow, Sacred Places, or Works of Justice.  Bring some water that has blessed you this summer, directly or symbolically. Spare water will be available for all.
