When tragedy hits, when trauma numbs our senses, when we are hurting inside and out, how do we hang in there? How do we come back to life? Come hear stories of people reclaiming life when hope was hard to justify, stories of resilience in the face of adversity, stories of strength and courage growing from seeds planted throughout a lifetime.
Our first Sunday drop-in covenant group will focus on our monthly theme of “Resilience.” All are invited to participate. Rev. Lyn Marshall will facilitate.
Today’s Community Plate will support our church outreach efforts, and in particular, the 9th Annual Souperfest that raises money for the Concord Coalition to End Homelessness. Our church is a sponsor and has pledged $1000. The fest is two family events in one: “Funfest,” an indoor carnival for kids from 2:00 to 5:00, and “SoupFest,” a soup feast (30 homemade soups, desserts, live music, more) for all ages from 4:00 to 7:00 on March 10th, Rundlett Jr High. For more info: go to concordhomeless.org. The Souperfest is the CCEH’s largest fundraiser.
