Today’s service will be doubly unusual. It will be online only AND offer a more contemplative format than most Sundays. You will still get to hear our virtual choir, be part of Joys & Sorrows, and sing along to Calvin playing some of our favorite hymns. So please join us and enter “the sanctuary” in a contemplative spirit as Linda Mai welcomes you with the sounds of her Singing Bowls starting at 9:45 am.
As the original description for this service said: So much of our lives is given over to accomplishing, achieving, planning, thinking and doing. On this Sunday morning, we set such activity aside and discover we can rest in the simplicity of being. We can rest our weary hearts in the heart of silence. Giving ourselves over to silence, for a time, in this way, we learn to access and live from a heart that can fully rest in the midst of life’s movements.
More relevant than ever as we face this pandemic together yet apart. For a more extensive experience, consider registering for our 6th Annual Mindfulness Retreat starting this Friday, March 27, at 5:30 pm. The Sunday service will conclude the retreat weekend.
