Toward Resilience – Lessons from Rwanda

Click for Online Service

The Rwandan genocide of 1994 sent shock waves around the world and left the Rwandan population emotionally traumatized and physically devasted.  A quarter century later, Rwanda serves as a model of how national trauma can be transformed, step by step, into a journey of healing and hope.  Whitney Howarth will share her observations and take-aways based on her study of the genocide and her personal interactions during her visit of Rwanda earlier this year.  Learn about the key elements of resilience that made the Rwandan transformation possible and successful – lessons that can help sustain us during our own crisis today.

Our first Sunday drop-in covenant group will focus on our monthly theme of “Time.”  All are invited to participate.  Rev. Lyn Marshall will facilitate this Zoom Room gathering.
